How to pop a pimple yourself, according to Dr. Pimple Popper’s tips
Insider producer Celia Skvaril video chatted with Dr. Sanda Lee, aka Dr. Pimple Popper, to get her professional advice on how to pop a pimple at home. While Lee doesn’t recommend that people pop their own pimples, pimple popping is a habit that many struggle to quit. With much of the world staying at home, people aren’t seeing their dermatologists and estheticians regularly and may be fighting a higher-than-usual urge to pick at their skin. Lee offered her tips on how to best minimize the risk of scarring and further infection when popping your own pimples, like attempting to pop only superficial whiteheads and properly sterilizing the pimple and tools both before and after popping. Following Lee’s tips, Celia attempted to pop her own whitehead at home. For more from Dr. Pimple Popper, visit: https://slmdskincare.com/ https://www.instagram.com/drpimplepopper/
How to explain a coronavirus-related layoff on your resume
If you’ve been laid off due to the coronavirus pandemic and are on the job hunt, you’re probably wondering how to explain it on your resume.
- Kelly Ripa, 50, just tested out the shower orange trend in new Instagram videos.
- She filmed the whole experience for Live! with Kelly and Ryan and wasn’t impressed.
- Shower orange or not, Kelly’s skin totally glowed in the no-makeup videos.
Important news alert: Shower oranges are a thing now. Plenty of people swear eating an orange while in the shower makes the fruit taste better, and (allegedly) they’re on to something.
Well, Kelly Ripa put the whole thing to the test and posted about it on her Instagram Stories for Live! with Kelly and Ryan>>>P. The talk show host, 50, shared a series of videos showing herself and her orange mid-shower, saying in one clip that this is the”strangest thing I’ve ever done for the show. And that’s saying something!”
Cut to a video of a bare-faced Kelly peeling her orange in the shower while looking like she’d really rather being doing anything else. She sniffs the peel, layers a few on her shoulders, and then can be seen eating her orange.”I still don’t get it,” she wrote.
Kelly talked about the whole experience on Live!>>>P, telling co-host Ryan Seacrest that”the science behind it is that sometimes it can be aromatic.”
“I thought two things,” she continued.”Okay, number one, it’s very hard to film yourself with your cell phone in the shower, eating. Okay? And I did not anticipate what to do with the skin.”
Kelly said she ended up editing her video because,”I was in there for a long time, trying to figure out what is the point?” Kelly said she didn’t end up smelling more of an orange essence or tasting more of the fruit.”I kept realizing that I could sort of almost see my naked reflection in the hardware on the shower, and you know, that costs money,” she joked.
FWIW: Plenty of other people have said they’ve tried this trend and it did jack for them, so Kelly isn’t alone here.
Still, it’s hard to miss the fact that Kelly’s skin looks amazing in the video>>>P, shower orange or not. The former soap opera actress previously opened up about her skincare routine to Prevention in October, and there’s lots of steal-able advice in there.
First, she starts off her day by dry brushing her skin.”Your skin is such a huge organ,” she told the publication.”I do a good vigorous brush of my entire body. I brush up towards my heart and down towards my hands.” She follows that up by using cold jade and rose quartz rollers on her face.
She also loves a good facial oil.”I put on a really good primer, like a skin oil and a primer, and then my makeup on top of it,” she said, name-checking 2 Note Renewal Facial Serum and Uma Oils Absolute Anti-Aging Face Oil>>>P.
Kelly said she’s big on wearing sunscreen and eating well (she follows a mostly vegetarian diet). She’s also open about using Botox, telling NY Mag that it’s her“anti-aging secret” along with her facial oils.
Pass the shower orange.
