HELLFIRE GALA Covers Put Superhero High Fashion On Full Display For The X-MEN And AVENGERS

[ad_1]

Marvel Comics has released a full gallery of cover art for the upcoming Hellfire Saga one-shot that promises to redefine mutantkind, and you definitely haven’t seen the X-Men and Avengers like this before.

This year’s Hellfire Gala once again promises to be a night in the Marvel Universe that’s overflowing with action, drama, and fashion (of course). However, this time around, it won’t just be mutants who are slaying Krakoa’s Green Carpet; Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are also getting into the fun with extremely stylish looks of their own, all designed by some of the industry’s most inventive artists.

Russell Dauterman returns to lead the campaign alongside Carmen Carnero, Iban Coello, Chris Bachalo, Jen Bartel, Mateus Manhanini, Mahmud Asrar, Miguel Mercado, Meghan Hetrick, InHyuk Lee, and Eric D’Urso. Combining real fashion trends with classic superhero aesthetics, mutant power signatures, and more, there will be a total of 20 gorgeous variant covers for X-Men: Hellfire Gala #1 this June.

“I’m thrilled to be back designing costumes for the mutants!” Dauterman said in a statement accompanying the cover art below. “And this year we’re expanding to include more of the Marvel Universe — I jumped at the chance to design one of my favorite characters, the Scarlet Witch! I’m lucky to be in such stellar company, surrounded by the other artists working on this project. I’ve been excited every time new art shows up in my inbox, and can’t wait for everyone to see!”

X-Men: Hellfire Gala #1 is a 72-page one-shot by Gerry Duggan, Russell Dauterman, Matteo Lolli, C.F. Villa, and Kris Anka. The first twelve variant covers are certainly impressive and put the spotlight on characters like Captain America, Iron Man, Cyclops, Emma Frost, and Jean Grey.
